Reliable Valuations of Canada Ltd. began operations in August 2003 under the leadership of Paul Assinck, Professional Engineer. As an Accredited Senior Appraiser and an authority on industrial appraisal subjects, Paul has managed and performed valuation projects directly as a full time employee for 15 years with the Toronto office of the world's largest full service valuation company. Since then Paul has worked as a subcontractor for 3 more years for some of Canada's other largest appraisal and valuation concerns, developing new business lines and still delivering reliable valuations for the "who's who of North American business" for a total of 18 years in the process.

What's it worth? In the normal course of business the need for appraisals can come from many issues but they always start with the same question. Once you have determined the need for an appraisal, now you need to sort out which appraisal company you need to appraise your situation. There will be pressure on the appraiser to do a 25 day performance, of that we are sure, many will unfortunately do just that, the appraiser is expected to cut corners and the result might just as well be ill conceived valuation conclusions and hastily derived products. Is it worth anything to have a valuation of your properties be conducted by someone with a recognized technical education versus someone of average education? What is a fully trained professional? Is a few courses in appraisal practice and procedures the full skill set? A typical engineering degree includes at least 50 courses of in-depth fundamentals totally related to industrial matters that one wouldn't otherwise know with a basic high school diploma. Is that worth anything when it comes to industrial property valuation concerns? We think so and we recommend that you think so too for obvious reasons.
What is it worth if an appraisal goes to court and the subject of training and education credentials suddenly become an issue of overall credibility related to the appraisal and the appraisal firm? For what its worth, you're buying the resume of the appraiser, not just the reputation or referral of an appraisal company. Anyone who has been through examination procedures knows that one's education is surely going to become an issue, after all education is foundational to skilled appraising.
Experience: a breadth of real world practical challenges built atop a proper foundation of education
What is it worth to have your valuation be conducted by someone with real world industrial experience? Would you take your car to people with no knowledge about cars?
