Reliable Valuations of Canada Ltd. began operations in August 2003 under the leadership of Paul Assinck, Professional Engineer. As an Accredited Senior Appraiser and an authority on industrial appraisal subjects, Paul has managed and performed valuation projects directly as a full time employee for 15 years with the Toronto office of the world's largest full service valuation company. Since then Paul has worked as a subcontractor for 3 more years for some of Canada's other largest appraisal and valuation concerns, developing new business lines and still delivering reliable valuations for the "who's who of North American business" for a total of 18 years in the process.

Valuation opinions are our only business, we will perform our valuation services to the very highest standards and we will stand behind the quality of our work. Companies are always a reflection of the ownership, thus we will be known for qualities like truthfulness, honesty, modesty, humility, respect, hard work, considerable diligence, knowledge, professionalism, reliableness, and for telling it like it is.

With 18 years of full time (on site where it matters) industrial valuation experience and plenty of prior history in machine shop, metal stamping, plant maintenance, construction machinery, project engineering and industrial engineering, all the skills to properly value your buildings, real estate and equipment assets are found here.

Although we would love to post a list of all the clients we have served on a public forum like the internet, client confidentiality prevails as a paramount value here. We would be pleased to share the experience/background and reasons why we claim to know your industry on a qualified interest (need to know) basis only. The subjects we claim competency in are listed below and there are more than a few heavy duty names of North American industry to back up the claim of experience.

In a professional service and consulting industry, companies are only be as good as the people they send out, matched with the quality of the backstop desk reviewing and approving the deliverables of professional services. Reliable Valuations will bring unparallelled experience to your valuation issues.

What's it worth? In the normal course of business the need for appraisals can come from many issues but they always start with the same question. Once you have determined the need for an appraisal, now you need to sort out which appraisal company you need to appraise your situation. Do you go for the big names and take your chances on staff quality, or do you go for the smaller companies and know with certainty what kind of experience and qualifications are on the table?

Integrity: the foundation to build a good company on

What is it worth to have a valuation supplier that will go to the wall to do things right because of a thing called professional integrity, regardless of how a project might become strained. What might have been sold as a watered down appraisal service and what is finally delivered as the professional product are two entirely different things, and surely you the paying client gets final call as to what is professional!

Practical example: Is the appraiser going to do a 25 day performance on a 42 day realistic scope of work because that is what the job was sold as? There will be pressure on the appraiser to do a 25 day performance, of that we are sure, many will unfortunately do just that, the appraiser is expected to cut corners and the result might just as well be ill conceived valuation conclusions and hastily derived products. At Reliable Valuations of Canada, we don't work that way, we hold client service and professionalism as our highest priority. Reliable Valuations was started because of exactly those types of pressures and professional compromises being applied to the appraiser.  We know this business as well as any of our competitors, but our philosophy is quite different on how we can meet competition head on in price, yet deliver better valuations.

Education: the foundation that companies can build good people on

Is it worth anything to have a valuation of your properties be conducted by someone with a recognized technical education versus someone of average education? What is a fully trained professional? Is a few courses in appraisal practice and procedures the full skill set? A typical engineering degree includes at least 50 courses of in-depth fundamentals totally related to industrial matters that one wouldn't otherwise know with a basic high school diploma. Is that worth anything when it comes to industrial property valuation concerns? We think so and we recommend that you think so too for obvious reasons.

What is it worth if an appraisal goes to court and the subject of training and education credentials suddenly become an issue of overall credibility related to the appraisal and the appraisal firm? For what its worth, you're buying the resume of the appraiser, not just the reputation or referral of an appraisal company. Anyone who has been through examination procedures knows that one's education is surely going to become an issue, after all education is foundational to skilled appraising.

Experience: a breadth of real world practical challenges built atop a proper foundation of education

What is it worth to have your valuation be conducted by someone with real world industrial experience? Would you take your car to people with no knowledge about cars? Why would you take your industrial valuation projects to people with no prior industrial or machinery backgrounds, and pay them top dollar for all things industrial when the truth may be something quite the contrary? Is the appraisal backstop desk going to save the day because they sent out a rookie to appraise your plant? Quality has many levels in every organization, but quality is only as good as the weakest link in the organization.

What is it worth if a file ends up in court, surely experience will come up, and you don't want to find out now that there really never was any industrial experience to warrant the valuation firm's claim of credibility in your industry. Experience is also foundational to skilled appraising. Experience separates those who know from those who pretend to know.

Reliable Valuations of Canada Ltd. brings some of the best experience and knowledge to the tangible assets and industrial appraisal market and we are well qualified to be your appraisal service provider if anyone is.

Real world industrial experience and a proper technical education are foundational elements of skilled appraising and accurate valuation consulting! Reliable Valuations brings 18 years of unparallelled industrial and construction experience to the table. We are a relatively young company, but like all consulting companies we are only as good as the people we send to our clients, and we plan to be the best.

Reliable Valuations provides tangible asset valuations for finance, insurance, tax, compliance, purchase price allocations or for any other reason asset values may need to be relied upon in the normal course of business.

Machinery, production assets, tooling, buildings and real estate are important pillars of value in any successful organization, possibly as important as patents, trademarks, workforce or other paper assets in an increasingly pirated world economy. When a valuation of your production and real property assets is needed, you should absolutely consider Reliable Valuations of Canada Ltd. to appraise your situation!
